KPI-Tracker does not sell personal information, rent customer data, use shop data for behavioral advertising, or use customer content to train KPI-Tracker or third-party artificial-intelligence models. Access is limited to providing, securing, supporting, and improving the service as described below.
Scope and operator
This policy applies to KPI-Tracker.tech, the KPI-Tracker web application, KPI-Tracker desktop applications, related report-delivery and feedback services, and any KPI-Tracker Chrome extension that links to this policy. “KPI-Tracker,” “we,” and “us” refer to the product operated by Andy Makarevich.
A shop or organization controls the business information entered into its workspace. Users should upload only information they are authorized to use and disclose.
Information we collect
Account and licensing information
Email address, display name, encrypted password credentials, email-verification status, optional two-factor settings, optional passkey credential identifiers and public keys, passkey labels and usage dates, organization and shop membership, account status, license status, and security events. A passkey's private key remains with the user's device or credential provider and is not sent to KPI-Tracker.
Shop and performance information
Shop identity and settings; weekly sales, cost, production, cash, debt, KPI, notes, targets, and report selections; and payroll-related entries such as employee names, roles, hours, rates, payroll load, overtime settings, and bonus information. This information can be commercially sensitive.
Imports, reports, and files
Desktop backup contents submitted for migration, selected report data imported through an integration, supporting materials intentionally uploaded by a user, generated report content, email recipients, and optional report-email notes.
Feedback and diagnostics
Bug reports, feature requests, contact information supplied with feedback, selected attachments, and the technical diagnostic information disclosed in the feedback form. Optional sanitized logs are included only when the user selects that option.
Limited technical information
Application and extension versions, operating system and architecture, timestamps, authentication and security activity, delivery status, and a one-way hash of a randomly generated desktop installation identifier. KPI-Tracker does not use this identifier for advertising or cross-service tracking.
How we use information
- Provide weekly entry, calculations, reports, imports, backups, licensing, authentication, and customer-requested email delivery.
- Keep each organization’s workspace separate and enforce user, shop, and license permissions.
- Detect abuse, investigate failures, secure accounts, and maintain audit records.
- Respond to feedback and support requests and improve product reliability.
- Comply with law, enforce applicable agreements, and protect users, KPI-Tracker, and others.
We do not make unrelated eligibility, employment, credit, insurance, or advertising decisions from shop data.
Chrome extension disclosures
The KPI-Tracker Cloud for Tekmetric extension has the single purpose of transferring user-selected aggregate KPI results, employee timesheet totals, and Parts Usage category totals from supported Tekmetric report pages into the user’s authorized KPI-Tracker workspace. The separately distributed desktop extension transfers its supported selected data only to the locally installed application.
- It loads a lightweight route detector on Tekmetric shop-admin pages so supported reports are recognized during in-app navigation. The upload control and report-reading logic activate only on End of Day, Employee Timesheets, and Parts Usage reports.
- Parts Usage transfers only Job Category names and aggregate quantity, retail, and cost totals. It does not transfer individual part, customer, vehicle, invoice, repair-order, or employee details from that report.
- It does not collect general browsing history, passwords, payment information, or content from unrelated pages.
- Before transfer, it displays the detected date range and data and asks the user to confirm the selection.
- It stores only limited field-selection preferences in Chrome extension storage. Account authentication occurs on KPI-Tracker.tech and is not stored by the extension.
- Transferred data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing integration, maintain security, and provide support.
KPI-Tracker’s use of information received through Chrome extension APIs will comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
KPI-Tracker Benchmark Network
The Benchmark Network is optional and off by default. Only an organization owner can enroll a shop after reviewing the in-product notice. KPI-Tracker then copies only a fixed whitelist of calculated KPI values from locked Completed weeks into a separated benchmark contribution store under a randomly generated identifier.
The contribution does not include Draft weeks, customer or vehicle information, invoices, repair orders, employee or payroll rows, weekly notes, uploaded files, report recipients, account emails, shop names or addresses, or Tekmetric identifiers. KPI-Tracker does not provide raw contribution rows to other customers, sell them, use them for advertising profiles, or use them to train artificial-intelligence models.
Benchmark reports are available only to signed-in KPI-Tracker users and suppress all results until at least 10 distinct participating shops are represented in the selected period. Reports provide aggregate medians, percentile ranges, and thresholds rather than identifiable shop results. KPI-Tracker does not promise that aggregation eliminates every theoretical re-identification risk, so cohorts are deliberately broad and small samples are not reported.
An organization owner can withdraw at any time. Withdrawal stops future contribution and deletes that shop's separated contribution rows. Previously published aggregate figures cannot be separated or recalled because they do not identify a participating shop. Participation is not required to use KPI-Tracker.
AI-assisted features
AI analysis is optional. KPI-Tracker will not silently send shop information to an AI provider. When a user deliberately requests AI analysis, the interface will identify the active provider and the selected KPI data, instructions, and supporting materials that may be transmitted.
KPI-Tracker adds instructions that the information is confidential, must not be used for model training, and must not be invented or disclosed. Those instructions do not replace the provider’s contractual terms or privacy controls. Users should avoid submitting personal information or content they are not authorized to send, and should verify AI-generated results before relying on them.
Retention and deletion
Account and shop information is retained while needed to provide the service. Security, delivery, licensing, transaction, and support records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, backups, and service integrity.
Uploaded feedback attachments, import staging files, and generated artifacts may have different operational retention periods. We aim to remove temporary material when it is no longer needed. Deleting an account or record from the active service may not immediately remove encrypted backup copies, which are isolated and expire through normal backup rotation.
Security
KPI-Tracker uses safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted network transport, password hashing, optional user-verified WebAuthn passkeys, optional two-factor authentication, tenant ownership checks, restricted administrative access, revocable sessions and integration credentials, short-lived one-time authentication challenges, rate limits, audit events, and limited server-side access to service credentials.
No system is perfectly secure. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials, reviewing recipients before sending reports, limiting access to exported files, and promptly reporting suspected misuse.
Your choices and requests
- Review and correct shop information through the application.
- Choose which fields are imported, reported, emailed, or submitted for AI analysis.
- Disconnect integrations and revoke sessions where those controls are available.
- Decline optional diagnostic logs and supporting-material uploads.
- Request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing andy@bpgbmw.com.
We may need to verify identity and authority over the relevant shop before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law or necessary to protect the service.
Children and sensitive information
KPI-Tracker is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank-login credentials, payment-card data, medical information, customer repair-order details, or other information that the product does not request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date will be revised, and material changes may also be announced in the application or by email. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy where permitted by law.
